"Set Free by
Forgiveness! Now What?"
Forgiveness is God's greatest grace to us as it sets us free. With
freedom, however, comes responsibility. We, in turn, are called to give
back to God and His people, for His glory.
What
can we possibly give back to God? In this talk, Susan helps us discover
what we enjoy and what we do well, and how these are gifts and talents
are revealed to us by God through the power and freedom that come with
forgiveness. She shares her own story of forgiveness, and the gifts and
talents she discovered as a result. Then she helps others to discover
the treasures that God has bestowed on them, and how they can use them
in service to Him for His glory.
Often added to this talk
is the Sacrament of Reconciliation. While participants wait their turn
for the Sacrament, Susan leads the group in sung prayer, singing the
Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary (from her
Mary, Queen of Peace Meditation Guide & Sung
Rosary).
Deacon David McDowell
of Mary, Mother of Peace Church in Millsboro, DE writes:
"As a speaker,
Susan is honest, forthright and speaks from her experience and love of
the Lord, the Blessed Mother and the Saints. She has the ability to be
generational in her discussions. Her ability to combine her spirituality
with the everyday experiences of life is a unique gift. Susan is not
afraid of displaying her vulnerability and strengths in various
situations."
"How Advent Saved My
Christmas"
Has
the commercial Christmas turned you into a Scrooge? Do you feel so
stressed out from all the obligations of Christmas that you can't
appreciate its true meaning?
Susan shares how the
beautiful themes and readings of Advent, stressing hopeful expectation
and trust, restored and saved her Christmas. She leads us on a journey
which parallels that of the Blessed Mother, and how saying "Yes" to God
as she did, transformed her life.
Susan's talk is enhanced
by 4 beautiful original songs about Advent.
Actress and Public
Speaker Linda Gray Kelley,
Theatre Rising
says of Susan's presentation:
"I recently
attended an Advent program where she wove autobiographical sketches
together with her music and bible references. A popular practicum
resulted and was thoroughly enjoyed by the congregation. Susan is a
powerful extemporaneous speaker with sound knowledge, sensitivity to
different church audiences, and she is eloquently responsive to
questions that come up . . . Her heartfelt prayer-like expression
is conducive to meditation, and her musicianship using guitar and
pre-recorded tracks allows her to deliver a studio-quality performance."
